A Blog of Design & Remodel Tips for the Modern Homeowner

Midweek Mood: Old Hollywood Bath

Sometimes we just need a lil pick-me-up of design inspiration.  Welcome to the midweek design mood!

If you or a friend might be planning a refresh of a kitchen or bath, these weekly mood boards could be helpful for kickstarting your design.

Now, visualize with me…Blush, black and hints of brass!  Think cigar lounge with a feminine touch… obsidian-like terrazzo floors meet an accent wall of glossy blush subway tile, arranged in an eye-catching pattern… ooh la la!  A burnt chocolate, 3-drawer vanity touched with honey gold handles is paired with a black quartzite countertop of whimsical veining.

The brassy gold finishes from the asymmetrical Spanish-inspired mirror are continued in the sleek silhouette of the faucet.  Unique statement pieces that are the playfully sculpted  brass and glass sconces add an artistic touch to the nod of old Hollywood.
